The event attracted notable Nigerian actors and actresses, including CAZ Chidiebere and Clemson-Cornell Nnonyelu, with participants displaying their skills in acting, singing, dancing and other areas of entertainment.

He said youth development remained a priority of Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration and reaffirmed the importance of supporting young people to realise their potential.

The immediate past Commissioner for Culture, Entertainment and Tourism and co-founder of ANAWOOD, Mr Don Onyenji, said the organisation was committed to nurturing young creative talents who could use their skills to make positive contributions to society.

The President of ANAWOOD, Lady Chinyere Ozo, described the maiden edition as a success, explaining that it had enabled the organisation to identify promising performers for its forthcoming productions. She urged participants to keep developing their skills, embrace learning and remain committed to their creative ambitions.

Veteran actor and Awka indigene, Mr Clemson-Cornell Nnonyelu, said Anambra State and the wider South East had abundant untapped entertainment talents capable of transforming the region’s creative industry. He noted that with proper investment, training and support, the region could strengthen its position as a major entertainment and tourism destination.

The talent hunt underscores the growing importance of structured platforms for identifying emerging performers, developing creative skills and creating opportunities for young people to participate in the entertainment industry.
