De Imperial Philanthropic Family, DIPF, has held its 2026 scholarship examination for students seeking admission into Junior Secondary School One across Anambra State, as part of efforts to ease the financial burden on parents and promote academic excellence.

The annual scholarship initiative, which commenced in 2023, is sponsored by the De Imperial Philanthropic Family.

Speaking on the programme, the Chief Executive Officer of Best Brain Contest, Akpoaza Group, and Education Consultant to DIPF, Dr Frank Igbojindu, said the organisation comprises philanthropists from the five South Eastern states who are committed to providing quality education for children.

Dr Igbojindu said DIPF was established to help reduce poverty through education and take children off the streets by providing them with access to quality learning opportunities.

He described education as the bedrock of society, stressing that investment in education represents an investment in the future.

According to him, the examination is free of charge, while successful candidates will receive full educational support from JSS One through SS Three.

He explained that the scholarship would cover tuition fees as well as examination fees for the Basic Education Certificate Examination, BECE, West African Senior School Certificate Examination, WAEC, and Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB.

Some of the candidates, including Chinaza Chukwuemeka, Chidubem Ezeike and Divine Igbojindu, expressed appreciation to DIPF for the opportunity and said they were optimistic about emerging successful in the examination.

Parents who spoke at the examination, including Comrade Ben Odoh and Mrs Vivian Anoliefo, said they learnt about the scholarship opportunity through social media and encouraged other parents to take advantage of similar educational initiatives.

They commended the sponsors for investing in the education of young Nigerians and prayed for continued blessings and resources for the philanthropists behind the initiative.
