Police Arrest, Repatriate Chadian Woman Wanted for Murder

The Nigeria Police Force has arrested and repatriated Mahadijiria Abdoulaye, a Chadian national wanted by authorities in N’Djamena over the alleged murder of Nazik Mahamat Saleh in Chad.

Abdoulaye was arrested by operatives of the INTERPOL National Central Bureau, Abuja, on August 5, 2026, at Railway Quarters in Nasarawa Local Government Area of Kano State, following coordinated intelligence operations.

Police said an international warrant of arrest was issued by the Court of Appeal, N’Djamena, on June 22, 2026, for Abdoulaye and her alleged accomplice, Fatime Senoussi Mouktar, over the incident.

According to the Force spokesperson, CSP Ani Iniedu, Abdoulaye fled to Nigeria after the alleged murder and was also linked to narcotics trafficking activities in Chad.

She was repatriated to N’Djamena on August 14 through Lomé, Togo, under bilateral police cooperation arrangements between Nigeria and Chad.

The Inspector General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, commended INTERPOL NCB Abuja for the successful operation, stressing that the arrest demonstrates the commitment of the Nigeria Police to ensuring that fugitives cannot evade justice by crossing international borders.
