By Nwanneka Nwokedi

Beneficiaries of the Renewed Hope Vocational and Skill Training Programme, VSTP, in Anambra State are set to receive starter packs as the Federal Government moves to conclude the first batch of the skills empowerment initiative.

The distribution is scheduled to commence on August 10, 2026, according to a letter from the Office of the National Coordinator and Chief Executive of the National Social Investment Programme Agency, NSIPA.

The letter, signed by the National Programme Manager, N Power, Mr Nsikak Okon, said designated NSIPA officials have been deployed to Anambra State to monitor the exercise and ensure that the distribution is conducted transparently and in line with the approved implementation framework.

The monitoring process, according to the agency, is designed to ensure proper documentation, accountability and compliance with operational guidelines throughout the exercise.

Okon commended the Anambra State Government for its cooperation and commitment towards the successful implementation of the Renewed Hope VSTP Batch One programme.

He assured beneficiaries that arrangements had been put in place to ensure that duly registered participants receive their starter packs and transport allowance.

The programme management also said available tools would be redistributed and reallocated across training centres where necessary to ensure that eligible participants are not left out.

The agency further confirmed that participants are entitled to transport allowances to support their movement and participation during the two week intensive refresher exercise.

The development is expected to provide beneficiaries with the basic tools required to begin applying their newly acquired vocational skills and move towards greater economic self reliance.
