Cult Group Allegedly Suspends Police Officer for Arresting Suspected Members in Imo

A police officer identified as Clinton, popularly known as “Egede Koti” or “Officer Yahoo,” has reportedly been suspended by the Neo Black Movement (NBM), also known as Aye Confraternity, for allegedly arresting suspected members of the group in Owerri, Imo State.

According to a letter circulating on social media and attributed to the cult group, the officer was sanctioned after he allegedly arrested suspected NBM members who had returned from a purported initiation exercise in a bush at Nekede, Owerri. The letter reportedly accused him of violating the group’s oath by taking action against fellow members.

The development has sparked reactions online, with many commending the officer for allegedly placing his constitutional duty above any other affiliation.
