Anioma State Creation Historic Aspiration, Driven by Justice, Equity – Nwoko

Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko has described the agitation for the creation of Anioma State as a historic aspiration of the Anioma people, driven by the quest for justice, equity and fair representation.

Nwoko said the demand for statehood was not a recent political development, but a longstanding cause pursued by generations of Anioma leaders and stakeholders.

According to the senator, successive generations have continued to build on the vision and sacrifices of the region’s founding advocates who first championed the creation of a separate state for the Anioma people.

He said the campaign reflected the collective aspirations of the people and their desire for equitable representation and balanced development within the Nigerian federation.

Nwoko stressed that the agitation should not be reduced to partisan or political considerations, arguing that the demand was fundamentally about fairness and justice.

“The creation of Anioma State is a historic aspiration by Ndi Anioma that is driven by the desire for justice and fair representation,” he said.

The senator further described the quest as a national imperative rooted in constitutional principles, equity and the legitimate aspirations of the people.

He reaffirmed his support for the creation of Anioma State, expressing optimism that the longstanding demand would continue to attract wider support as stakeholders intensify efforts towards its realisation.
