Nnewi Indigenous Spare Parts Association Pledges Support for Apprentices as Osumuoh Promises Equity

The leadership of the Nnewi Indigenous New Motor Spare Parts Association has pledged to protect the interests and welfare of indigenous apprentices in the Nnewi New Motor Spare Parts Market.

The association made the commitment on July 20 during a courtesy visit to the President General of Nzukọ Ọra Nnewi Town Union, Hon. Prince Jude Osumuoh, FCAI, JP.

Led by its Vice Chairman, Mr. Kenechukwu Okeke, the delegation commended the President General for his contributions to the development of the Nnewi Ancient Kingdom and formally introduced the newly constituted leadership of the association.

Mr. Okeke said the association was established to support government efforts to restore the lost glory of the Nnewi New Motor Spare Parts Market. He disclosed that a committee had been set up to oversee the welfare of indigenous apprentices in the market.

He further stated that no Nnewi indigene should be denied proper settlement by a master after years of apprenticeship, assuring that the association would support the settlement of any indigenous apprentice who suffers such injustice.

Responding, Hon. Osumuoh thanked the delegation for the visit and assured them that his administration remained committed to building a Nnewi founded on equity, peace and justice, where businesses and individuals can thrive.

He pledged continued support for the association’s efforts to protect and empower Nnewi indigenes in the spare parts sector.
