Enugwu Ukwu Agunechemba Intensifies Bush Combing Operations Against Criminals

The Enugwu Ukwu Agunechemba Joint Security Team has intensified its campaign against criminal activities with a major bush combing operation across strategic forest locations in the community.

According to a statement by the Enugwu Ukwu Security Council, the operation was carried out with the approval of the Security Council in collaboration with the Council of Village Chairmen and Secretaries. The exercise was coordinated by the President General of Enugwu Ukwu, Chief Patrick Nworji, while the Director of Operations, retired Group Captain Chidi Nwenweh, led the field team.

The security operatives combed forests stretching from Onungene mainland in Uruekwo Village to the boundary with neighbouring Nise in search of suspected criminal hideouts linked to kidnappers and armed bandits. Farmers, construction workers and cattle rearers encountered during the operation were screened, with those engaged in legitimate activities allowed to continue their work.

The operation ended with a show of force patrol across major roads in the community. No casualties were recorded.

The Security Council reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining proactive security operations and urged residents to remain vigilant by providing timely and credible information to security agencies to help maintain peace and security in Enugwu Ukwu.
