Presidency Accuses Purported Council Convener of Forging Appointment Letter

The Presidency has accused the convener of the purported Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, Adeniyi Adeyemi, of forging an appointment letter and falsely presenting himself as a presidential appointee.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, described the council as a fictitious organisation with no recognition or approval from the Federal Government.

According to the Presidency, Adeyemi had been parading himself as the head of the so called Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, an agency it said does not exist within any structure of the Federal Government.

The Presidency maintained that the appointment letter being circulated by Adeyemi was forged and urged the public to disregard any claim linking him or the alleged council to the administration.
