The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has taken a major step towards its 2027 election campaign, as its candidates for Anambra Central Senatorial District, Awka North and South Federal Constituency, and Awka Constituencies I and II move to inaugurate their campaign councils.

Among the candidates are Hon. Dozie Nwankwo, popularly known as Onye Ndozi, the party’s candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial District, and Hon. Obby Nwankwo, known as Okwuego, who is seeking election to represent Awka North and South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

Also involved are the APGA candidates for Awka Constituencies I and II in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Ozo Samuel Igwedimma Nwofor and Hon. Pharm. Egbutu Makuochukwu.

The joint initiative brings the candidates together under the APGA platform as they prepare to present their programmes and engage voters ahead of the 2027 general election.

For Hon. Obby Nwankwo, the campaign comes with a focus on his political message, “Solution at the Grassroots,” which places grassroots development and the needs of communities at the centre of his ambition to represent Awka North and South.

The inauguration of the campaign councils is expected to provide an organisational structure for mobilisation, coordination and engagement with constituents across the affected constituencies.

With the 2027 elections approaching, attention will increasingly focus on how the candidates communicate their priorities, address community concerns and translate their campaign promises into practical proposals for development.

The development marks another phase in APGA’s preparations for the forthcoming elections in Anambra State.
